“It's so real and the colors are so bright”
One woman described what she saw when her heart stopped for 27 minutes.
In February 2018, Tina Hines was preparing to go hiking with her husband, Brian, in Phoenix, Arizona, when she collapsed as they were leaving.
Brian began CPR and was able to revive her twice before paramedics arrived.
However, Tina's heart continued to stop during the ambulance journey and she ultimately had to be resuscitated six times before arriving at the hospital.
According to the Daily Mail, her heart stopped for a total of 27 minutes.
After waking up from the ordeal, Tina motioned for pen and paper. Then she scrawled “This is true” on the paper and nodded to the sky.
The mother of four told the Christian Broadcasting Network: “The incredible rest and peace I experienced as Jesus stood there with his arms open.
“Right behind Jesus stood an incredible light.
“It's so real and the colors are so bright.”
The day after her near-death experience, Tina's vital signs returned to normal, surprising doctors.
About 90% of people who have a cardiac arrest outside a hospital die.
However, if bystanders perform CPR, the survival rate is about 45%, so Brian almost certainly saved his wife's life.
