Recent events have seen Salah linked with a transfer
Mohamed Salah will stay at Liverpool at the end of the season.
Salah is about to expire in the final 12 months of his contract and there is speculation that he may leave.
According to The Athletic, Saudi Arabia was considered a viable destination for the Egyptian, but the 31-year-old has shown no desire to leave and Liverpool have no intention of selling him.
If their pursuit of the winger fails this summer, they could wait until 2025 for Salah to be available on a free as they look to find another big-name player to join their ranks.
Salah's future under scrutiny
Discussions about Salah's future intensified after he had an altercation with Jurgen Klopp during the 2-2 draw with West Ham United.
The pair appeared to have a verbal exchange on the touchline just before Salah came on, with the winger even declining his manager's offer to shake hands at full-time.
Klopp declared the matter had been dealt with, while Salah said “there would be a fire” if he spoke after the game.
The impending arrival of Arne Slott also leaves Salah's future in doubt.
Liverpool must also keep hold of Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold as the Reds prepare for a major rebuild following Klopp's departure.
