Breaking news.
Due to changes in UEFA rules, Manchester United will qualify for the Champions League even if they finish sixth.
Erik ten Hag's side are winless in their last three games and currently sit 11 points behind Aston Villa with just seven games left in the season.
United drew with Liverpool last Sunday, were beaten by Chelsea a few days ago and drew with Brentford a week ago.
Miraculously, however, Manchester United still have a chance to qualify for the Champions League.
how? Well, as one of two nations in UEFA (along with Italy), England is expected to secure an extra Champions League spot.
That means fifth place could see you qualify for the Champions League, which is likely to fall into the hands of Tottenham Hotspur or Villa.
But according to The Sun, Manchester United still have a chance of advancing if West Ham finish fifth and win the Europa League.
West Ham face unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen in the quarter-finals, and if they win that match it would free up another Champions League spot for the English club, as the extra spots are only available domestically Teams finishing in the league, not Champions League or Europa League success.
In theory, this means that if the champions of the Champions League and Europa League are English clubs that are not in the top four, they can enter the Champions League even if they are ranked seventh.
That won't be the case this year though, as Manchester City and Arsenal are more or less guaranteed top four spots.
Sixth place is still up for grabs, though, and it all depends on how West Ham approach the next few games.
While this is certainly unlikely, everything is up in the air.
It's been a long wait for Manchester United.
