The seven-time Formula One champion was disappointed with his ninth-place finish in the race.
Lewis Hamilton snapped at a reporter who asked him about his future team Ferrari during an interview after a poor performance at the Japanese Grand Prix.
Hamilton finished ninth at Suzuka, a few spots behind winner Max Verstappen and Ferrari's Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc.
The Briton will join rivals Ferrari from next year, replacing Sainz and team-mate with Frenchman Leclerc.
He was visibly frustrated when he entered the media tent after qualifying two places behind seventh.
Hamilton asked just two questions before ending the press conference and leaving the interview area.
He was first asked how his race was, to which Hamilton responded bluntly: “It was okay.”
Then the reporter twisted the knife and asked: “Are you a little jealous of Ferrari now? Because they are faster?”
Hamilton quickly responded: “Do you have a better question?” The reporter apologized, but before anyone else could end the awkwardness by asking, the former world champion said: “Thanks” and walked away.
There was controversy within the Mercedes team during the race, with Hamilton allowing teammate George Russell to pass him early in the race.
Russell finished seventh, two spots ahead of the 39-year-old.
It was unusual for Hamilton to offer his team-mates to pass with them on the same strategy, with the seven-time world champion having several heated battles with Russell last season.

The next stop on the 2024 F1 calendar will be the Chinese Grand Prix on April 21, and Hamilton hopes he can silence his critics with a better result in that race.
