Alonso is Liverpool's number one target
Xavi Alonso is yet to enter talks with Bayern Munich, a new report claims, following reports that the Spaniard has been in contact and would even prefer a move to the German side over Liverpool.
Alonso is one of the most sought-after players in world football and his performances for Bayer Leverkusen have lifted the team to the top of the Bundesliga and remain unbeaten in all competitions this season.
Alonso has preference for next job
Liverpool and Bayern are both looking for new managers after Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel confirmed they will step down from their roles at the end of the season.
The Spaniard is the favorite for both jobs, but Sky Sports Germany reported on Monday that the 42-year-old has been in active talks with Bayern and is leaning towards a move to the Bavarian giants.
