The results speak for themselves

A woman proved how wrong her husband was after he claimed she was doing nothing at home.

Instead of accepting criticism from others and arguing about it, Lindsay Donnelly decided to stop cleaning for a few days and film the results.

In the TikTok, which currently has over 13 million views, Lindsay shows off her home in the right state.

The kitchen countertops and even the floor were littered with dirty dishes and the children's belongings. The same goes for the kitchen table. The lounge looked like a laundromat and there weren't any clean surfaces in the bathroom.

Then Lindsay really made her point, according to her caption, which read: “Then I left town for a girls trip… #marriagehumor.”

Since the video went viral, Lindsay made a second video, this time starring her husband.

She explained to the audience that he had apologized for the remark.

Since then, she has posted other videos showing her and her husband getting to see the fun side of their social media fame.

She posted a video joking that she “maybe accidentally roasted you in a TikTok video and let 7 million people join in the fun.” Since the video was posted, the original video has been viewed by more than 13 million people.

In another video, Lindsay admitted that her significant other actually cleans “more than I do” and that he's “almost perfect.”

People didn't find the video funny at all.

One wrote: “My future boyfriend will be walking on eggshells because if he said anything like this to me I would leave.” Another added: “Same thing happened to me. Filed for divorce yesterday “

A third added: “Unfortunately for a lot of us this is the case every single day. I was away for two weeks traveling and since then he decided to start paying for a housekeeper.”

Another urged women not to “settle down”: Every time I go out with my girlfriend, mine goes into a housework frenzy. This was his way of showing appreciation for my efforts in keeping the house tidy. Don't settle ladies. “

Given that Lindsay admitted in her second video that her husband is actually “almost perfect,” divorce seems unlikely.

While some commenters were keen to break up the couple, others suggested they couldn't stop doing household chores because they couldn't handle the mess.

“I wanted to do this but it would drive me crazy,” one person wrote, while another admitted they tried it themselves but forgot they were supposed to leave a mess and “absentmindedly” threw it away hours later . “.
