Decision, decision…
Wayne Rooney has reportedly been offered two top-flight roles ahead of next season.
Rooney has been out of work since being sacked by Birmingham City in December, but has recently appeared on TNT and Sky Sports, the latter as a commentator on the Merseyside derby coverage.
According to sources in The Sun, Rooney has impressed network bosses with his performance in front of the camera, with both Sky and TNT reportedly offering him a role as a regular pundit.
The former Manchester United striker has accepted an invitation to The Overlap's Stick to Football podcast to become a permanent member from next season and may even appear on BBC and ITV's Euro 2024 coverage.
Rooney seen as 'natural replacement'
Sky have been impressed with his role as a pundit and believe the England legend has praised Jamie Carragher and could be considered a natural replacement for Gary Neville in his role as joint commentator.
A source said: “Sky are particularly keen to sign him as they believe he will work well with Jamie Carragher and is seen as a natural replacement for Gary Neville on commentary duty.”

However, while Rooney is said to be flattered by the offers, he still has his sights set on a return to management.
“As much as Wayne loves working in the studio, he's very eager to get back into the green room,” the source continued.
“Despite everything that has happened at Birmingham, he still believes he has a lot to contribute and harbors ambitions to one day manage in the Premier League. That means he is in a tug-of-war over what to do.”
Rooney keen to return to management
Despite his failure at Birmingham, Rooney remains keen to pursue his dream of coaching.
The 38-year-old excelled with limited resources during a difficult period at Derby County, before a brief spell at D.C. United.
