There is one task that is impossible to complete…

Tom Cruise is one of Hollywood's most famous figures, but the actor is believed to be banned from owning a vehicle from one of the world's most luxurious car brands.

The “Mission: Impossible” star is said to own a number of luxury cars, including a Chevrolet Chevelle SS, a Ford Mustang Saleen S281 and a Buick Roadmaster.

Cruise's other car is a Bugatti Veyron, but it will reportedly be the last car he owns from the French automaker.

The story of how Cruise was “blacklisted” by the company dates back to 2006, when the star appeared on Mission: Impossible 3 Premiere in the car.

However, he had a bit of a gaffe during his red carpet appearance at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

When the actor stepped out of the supercar, everything was going well until he went around to the other side and tried to open the passenger door to let his then-wife Katie Holmes out.

This is where things went pear-shaped, as the A-lister was unable to open the door in a rather embarrassing moment in front of an adoring crowd and hungry photographers.

This video makes the Bugatti Veyron look a bit unwieldy, so you can see why the company has a problem with the Cruise.

Well, in fact, they were so problematic that the actor was reportedly “blacklisted” from owning them ever again.

He's not the only celebrity to be “banned” by Bugatti, either.

Other celebrities rumored to be blacklisted by the company include Simon Cowell, Floyd Mayweather and Jenson Button.
