Boly comes under increasing pressure from Chelsea fans
Chelsea boss Todd Boley has broken his silence as the pressure on him continues to mount.
The Blues dropped points again on Saturday, drawing 2-2 at home to relegation-threatened Burnley, who in recent weeks have had fans chanting “Boili, Boili, you're a bad man” in protest at their Performance. .
Even more depressingly, Burnley even had 10 players, a result that almost condemned Chelsea to another year of mid-table mediocrity.
After the game, Mauricio Pochettino called on fans to “believe in the process” – a phrase that has been used repeatedly since Boly arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2022.
Boli speaks to supporters
Boly did not address Chelsea fans through any of their own channels, instead choosing to speak to them through Forbes magazine.
He said: “We just have to let the process evolve and give them time to transform from incredible individual players with great skills to a team.
“The good news is that people care a lot. The bad news is that people care too much.
“It will cause them to be frustrated with the team and the owner. I understand that, but we have to continue to stay the course.”
Boli moves forward in the future
Boili's run at the top of the standings is coming to an end in 2027.
As part of an agreement between the U.S. co-owners, they can pass the chairmanship between themselves every five years.
It has not yet been decided who will replace Boehly, but one of Behdad Eghbali or Jose Feliciano is likely to take over until 2032. At that point, Boehly can choose to return and reclaim his minority stake if he chooses. .
Meanwhile, Chelsea take on Manchester United on the pitch on Thursday.
