According to the BBC, Bernard Hill has died at the age of 79.
Hill first became famous for his role as Yosser Hughes in the film. boy from gangster.

However, Hill is best known for his roles in two of the most important films of the past 30 years – Titanic and Lord of the Rings.
He played Théoden, King of Rohan, in Peter Jackson's iconic trilogy. Fans of the series will remember his memorable speech in the third film.
He played Captain Edward Smith in the Oscar-winning film Titanic, He is the only actor in history to appear in more than one of the three films that won 11 Academy Awards.
Hill was born into a Catholic miners' family in Brackley, Manchester, and was a lifelong supporter of Manchester United Football Club.
News of his death came at X/Twitter Created by his long-time friend and actress Barbara Dickinson.
Dickinson shared a black-and-white photo of Hill and herself, writing: “It is with great sadness that I note the passing of Bernard Hill. In 1974-1975 we had a great relationship with John Paul George Ringo and Bernard Hill. Great performance from Willie Russell. A truly amazing actor. It was an honor to meet him. RIP Benny.”

One Twitter user wrote: “RIP Bernard Hill. His performance as Uther Hughes in The Boys was perfect and one of the best on British television.”
Another wrote: “Good luck Bernard Hill. People will be sharing his memories of various characters today but for me Théoden King is unique – it's A great performance in a film series filled with great performances.
“May his family find comfort during this difficult time.”
