Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali has been banned for two months for breaching Football Association gambling rules.
Tonali has been banned from football matches for 10 months since October after he was found guilty by the FA of betting on matches while in Italy.
The FA also revealed in March that the 23-year-old was suspected of breaking the rules 50 times.
The statement said: “The Newcastle United midfielder is alleged to have breached FA Rule E8 50 times by placing bets on football matches between August 12, 2023, and October 12, 2023.”
Under the current ban, Tonali is expected to be available at the start of the new season after missing almost the entire 2023/2024 season and Euro 2024.
