They are making a new start
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly given their baby a new name.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have redefined their identities in recent years since stepping back as senior royals in 2020.
Since then, the couple's actions have caused a stir, including a Netflix documentary and their Archewell Foundation.
However, one change that fans of the duo didn't foresee was that they changed Lilibet and Archie's names.
Their children were reportedly officially named Prince Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Princess Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor, but they now have different names.
A source told The Times that Harry and Meghan's children will now be called Archie and Lilibet Sussex.
This marks a departure from royal tradition that set the precedent for Queen Elizabeth's heirs to bear the surname Mountbatten-Windsor.
Previously, Harry and Meghan renamed their Archewell website Sussex.com. The website omits any use of the word “Royal”, although “Sussex” comes from its royal roots.
