In this movie, the comedian stars in a cast that defies genre.

An action film starring Owen Wilson and Pierce Brosnan has climbed into the top 10 on Netflix charts despite being banned in one particular country.

that movie is nowhere to escape It tells the story of American businessman Jack Dwyer (played by Wilson), his wife Anne (played by Lake Bell) and their two young daughters who arrived in Southeast Asia to start a new life.

“When Jack's company plans to improve the area's water quality, the family soon learns they are in the midst of a political uprising,” the plot synopsis reads.

“Armed rebels attack the hotel where they are staying and order the killing of all foreigners they encounter. Amid the chaos, Jack must find a way to save himself and his loved ones from the outbreak around him of violence.”

Brosnan, meanwhile, plays a mysterious British traveler named Hammond who the Dewyers encounter in Asia.

Upon its release in 2015, No Escape received mixed reviews but was a box office success – grossing $54.4 million against a reported budget of $5 million. Having said that, this did cause some controversy.

This is because the movie never identifies the Southeast Asian country where the story takes place.

Although No Escape was filmed in Thailand, one condition of filming there was that the country was never set in the film.

However, the film's trailer ended up causing controversy in Cambodia because they used upside-down Khmer text on the police shield shown in the action film.

Khmer is the official language of Cambodia.

The Cambodian government strongly objected to the suggestion that the events of “No Escape” took place in the country and banned the film from being screened in the country.

No Escape, directed by John Eric Dowdle (Up, Down, Devil, Isolation), was just added to streaming last week and is currently in the Netflix Ireland and UK top 10 movies Ranked fifth on the list. The show is also available on Netflix in the United States.
