Neymar doesn't plan to stay

After what feels more like a holiday for some players, another big-name signing looks set to leave Saudi Arabia.

When Neymar left Paris Saint-Germain for Al Hilal last summer, he easily became the marquee signing in the country's stunning high-spending spending spree.

But the Brazilian has set his sights on his next move and has promised one of his former clubs that he will return when his contract expires in the summer of 2025.

forgotten season

It was not a season that will long live in the memory for the striker. Neymar has made just five professional league appearances so far, only due to an injury suffered while playing for the national team in October that ruled him out for the rest of the season.

The 31-year-old has been traveling around the world during his injury absence and recently returned to Brazil to visit former club Santos and lift the Paulista League trophy ahead of Sunday's final first leg against Palmeiras court.

According to UOL world sports newsNeymar promised that he would return to win titles for the club in 2025.

It was at Santos that Neymar made his name, scoring 72 goals in 140 games and winning six major honors for the club, including the 2011 Copa Libertadores.

He eventually earned himself a move to Barcelona and later became the world's most expensive player when he joined Paris Saint-Germain, but his career has been blighted by injuries.

However, it feels like he wants to return to Santos to prove himself one last time.
