it suddenly came back

The 90s were a simpler time… when you could still smoke in pubs, when the Spice Girls were on the radio, and you could still buy Reef everywhere.

Well, it looks like those good times may be upon us again, just as The Reef is back on our shelves.

The 1990s were the heyday of soda, with drinks like Hooch, WKD and Barcadi Breezers all very popular.

Although these drinks still exist and can be purchased in stores, one of the most popular drinks at the time, Reef, was discontinued in the early 2000s.

However, the passion fruit and orange vodka mix seems to be back.

Shoppers have noticed the drink on B&M shelves in recent weeks, and it's also available to buy online at GoodTimeIn.

Jacob Barrett, Reef's brand manager, told Metro about the drink's return: “We're experiencing a cultural throwback to the '90s, from bucket hats to S Club 7, and Reef feels like the perfect flavor to transport people back.

“You may have rent to pay, a job to look for, children to look after, but you also have memories of life before all this. We want to help people relive that period and remember those days through a simple sip. Times may have changed , but the reef has not changed.

“Reef is back on shelves ready to take Britain back to a time when life was simpler, with its nostalgic taste and still-chill vibe.

“It's time to take a trip down memory lane with some adult alcoholic beverages reminiscent of 90s house parties and dance to the early hours to Born Slippy.”

Reef fans have taken to social media to cheer the return of their favorite tipple.

One person said: “This is my favorite drink and I'm so happy.”

“Red Reef. I often start an evening with an orange reef, a red reef and a pint glass. Mixes together very well,” wrote another.

A third wrote: “Oh I used to love this! I'd put a shot of vodka in it too… to smash you up.”

“I used to love reefs,” added a fourth.
