The end of an era?

Every day that passes, we get closer to the date that Jurgen Klopp will leave Anfield, and while a large number of players are not expected to leave, there will certainly be some veteran players jumping ship.

There are rumors that both Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk could leave with Klopp to seek success (and fortune) elsewhere.

The reason for these rumors is that both Van Dijk and Salah's contracts expire in 2025.

Van Dijk has hinted that he is open to a move but is also reluctant to do so. Who knows if Saudi Arabia will make an offer.

The same is true for Salah. He signed a six-year contract with the Red Army when he first joined the Red Army, and the contract also lasts until the end of next season.

Having said that, many are considering whether the two Liverpool legends will be released from their contracts early and leave following Klopp's exit.

Danny Murphy, Simon Jordan and Jim White discuss the speculation with Jim White on talkSPORT, who said: “Speaking of players, is one of Liverpool's most popular players Mo Salah going to be killed? Leaving the scene with the contract expiring in the summer of 2025?”? The same goes for the Virgil van Dijk deal.

“And of course Saudi Arabia has joined the conversation with people like Mo Salah.”

TalkSPORT’s Saudi journalist Ben Jacobs added: “I think the Saudis’ desire for Salah has never stopped and has been consistent since the Etihad made the offer.

“They are biding their time and their timing is obviously key because they don't want to disrupt the end of the season for Liverpool and Salah is focused on Liverpool.

“So we can say with great certainty that Salah and Kevin De Bruyne are the two top targets for Saudi Arabia, but the chances of securing Salah are still unclear as he may want to be Klopp's successor A new Liverpool line-up under the new manager. But there is no doubt that Saudi Arabia will try.”

Jacobs continued: “The only difference is that the total price could be less than £100m, or up to £100m including bonuses.”

He added that he did not believe the Saudi side would be so aggressive in looking to land some big-name players and might also try to sign some young talent.

Talking about Van Dijk, Jim White said: “I think Liverpool fans are more worried about Virgil because he is so crucial and he still has a year left.”

The trio added that the decision Virgil has taken is a big one for himself and the club, as if he had signed another deal with Liverpool that could last until the end of his career, and if If he leaves, that could be a huge decision. His last transfer.

Whatever happens, it's going to be big news.
