McDonald's is slashing prices on its Big Mac and another menu favorite, but you have to take advantage of the deal soon.

Today (February 26) only, the fast food chain has slashed the price of a Big Mac from £4.99 to £1.49 and a Double McMuffin from £4.39 to £1.99.

The half-off Big Mac deal will begin at 11 a.m., while the McMuffin deal will only be available from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m.

To get the lowest prices on these two fan-favorite items, customers must use the McDonald's app. The deals are available on the app, either for pickup at the restaurant or via delivery.

A McDonald's spokesman said: “Customers will be able to earn points when they purchase one of the deals by selecting MyMcDonald's Rewards. The scheme means every penny spent equals one rewards point, so this week's offer will see you double your purchase. Earn 199 points when you layer a McMuffin and 149 points when you buy a Big Mac.

“Customers can also choose to donate the equivalent cash value of their points to BBC Children in Need, FareShare and Ronald McDonald House charities, supporting the company's commitment to funding and supporting youth work while reducing food poverty and waste in the UK. “

Some favorites are also back this month, including Big Tasty, Mozzarella Dippers and the beloved breakfast wrap back on the menu.

Some new products have also been added, such as the chain's “spiciest burger ever” and two special pink desserts – a raspberry and white chocolate pie and a Kit Kat Ruby Chocolate McFlurry.

But that means some projects have to give way, including the popular Steakhouse Stack.
