A season-defining game

One of the biggest games of the 2023/2024 season will take place this weekend as Manchester City take on Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

Both sides are in contention for the title and know failure to win could damage their hopes of lifting the Premier League title at the end of the season.

Last time out, Arteta secured victory after Gabriel Martinelli stunned the current title holders by scoring the winner four minutes from time.

It looks like Arsenal may be the lucky side too. The likes of Kyle Walker, John Stones, Manuel Akanji, Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland have all withdrawn or been injured while on international duty.

Arsenal are currently top of the table, although Liverpool may temporarily occupy that position at the start of the game. Three points away from home would be a real statement for the Gunners, but considering City have won five of the last six league titles, they know exactly what it takes to get the job done.
