One of the few things Klopp would change
Jurgen Klopp has opened up about his only regret during his time at Liverpool.
Klopp's farewell tour is entering its final lap with two games left in the season.
Although at one point it looked like they could end his nine years in charge with a quadruple, barring a miracle, they will end the season with the Carabao Cup. However, this does not reflect his time in charge.
During his nine-year reign, the German won 1 Premier League, 1 Champions League, 1 FA Cup, 2 League Cups, 1 Community Shield, 1 UEFA Super Cup and 1 Club World Cup .
However, like all managers, he has regrets about his time at Anfield.
It's just a pity that Klopp named him
Klopp was asked about Harvey Elliott's form as he previewed his side's clash with Aston Villa on Monday night.
The youngster has enjoyed a breakout season and has become an integral part of the starting line-up, scoring against Tottenham last weekend.
His performances have even earned him a place in Gareth Southgate's Euro 2024 squad, but the German admits he wishes he could play Elliott more often.
“If I have any regrets it's that Harvey Elliott didn't play enough,” the Liverpool boss admitted.
He also said he did not want to put any further pressure on Elliott when asked whether he was worthy of playing in the Euros.
“If it helps Xavi, I will say it,” Klopp added. But it will spark a public conversation. He has everything he needs if he wants to draft him. But I won’t get into that discussion.
Elliott made 51 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing nine assists.
