Klopp left Dortmund to join Liverpool in 2015
Jurgen Klopp is expected to return to Borussia Dortmund in 2025.
The German is just weeks away from leaving Liverpool after nine years in charge.
Klopp is widely expected to take some time away from football before returning to any role as Reds manager, even admitting in January that he was considering retirement.
However, The Independent reports that a return to Dortmund is likely to be on the cards.
Edin Terzic is facing calls to be sacked following the club's poor performance in the Bundesliga despite reaching the Champions League semi-finals.
Dortmund missed out on a Champions League spot, and Terzic's contract only runs until 2025, so rumors about his transfer have begun to surface.
Klopp returns?
Although Klopp has been linked with a special reunion, reports suggest it will not be in a managerial role but as director of football.
While coaching Germany, he won two Bundesliga titles, a DFB-Pokal and even reached the 2013 Champions League final, where they lost to Bayern Munich.
In fact, if they beat Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals, they could return to Wembley after 11 years.
PSG are the favorites, but if Bayern Munich can beat Real Madrid in the other semi-final, they could even repeat the 2013 final, which would bring even more momentum.
Bayern held the 14-time champions to a 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.
