The YouTuber-turned-boxer will face the former heavyweight champion in July.
Jake Paul says he wants to know how hard Mike Tyson will hit when he fights Mike Tyson in Las Vegas this summer.
Many have criticized the 27-year-old entertainer for agreeing to fight a man 30 years his senior, but Paul insists “people underestimate my ability to stand up to his strength and that would make things interesting.”
Speaking on his podcast, Bachelor with Jake Paul“It's definitely the toughest, most brutal, deadliest adversary – young or old, because power is the last place to go,” the former Disney actor said.
“But the response and reception to it has been crazy,” he said. “I almost can't believe it – it's so surreal and so, so, so grateful for it all.”
Paul has impressed many with his ability to fend off sluggers like Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva, but Tyson will undoubtedly be the most powerful puncher he has ever faced.
“I wanted to see how hard he hit,” Paul said. “Mike, I really want to meet, man. Let's look at all the legends, the myths, because you're 'Iron' Mike Tyson – but I have an iron chin. People know that. I take pictures.
“So I think people underestimate my ability to handle his power, and that's going to make things interesting. I'm excited. I really can't wait to see him through the ring and give him that killer death stare.”
The game is scheduled to take place on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and will be streamed on Netflix.
Since the announcement, footage of Mike Tyson training has emerged. Many fans said Paul should be absolutely terrified after seeing the video.

Another user added: “If Iron Mike becomes a reality, someone needs to save Jake Paul.”
“Mike looks better at 60 than he does at 40. Paul walks the dog,” a third added.
Paul's last fight was in February, when he defeated Ryan Bolland in the first round, with his only loss coming to Tommy Fury.
Iron Mike, on the other hand, has 50 wins and only 6 losses throughout his fighting career, with 44 of those wins coming via knockout.
Tyson's last professional fight was nearly two decades ago, a 2005 loss to Kevin McBride.
He has since stepped into the ring in an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020.
