This is one of the most famous viral videos of all time.

Think back to the most famous viral videos of all time. You've got Charlie Bites My Finger, Goodbye Driver, Ronnie Pickering, The Wellstone Raiders and more.

This is, of course, the story of political activist Robert Kelly, who unexpectedly rose to fame when his children ran into his room while he was on BBC News live.

In March 2017, Kelly became famous for her interview with James Menendez regarding the impeachment trial of South Korean President Park Geun-hye.

Kelly was on the news after his four-year-old daughter and nine-month-old son hilariously barged into his room before his wife, Jung-a Kim, slammed the door and dragged them out.

Understandably, the video immediately went viral, racking up over 6 million views in just 24 hours.

Today, seven years later, we still remember this hysterical moment.

Shortly after the interview, Kelly claimed that his family had become “the most famous on the planet” but that he feared it might be “the end of my career as a talker.”

Thankfully, that wasn't the case, as the incident led to him appearing more frequently on television, including on a Korean TV show that focused on the difficulties fathers face in raising children.

Speaking on the fame the interview brought him today, Kelly, appearing on This Morning, said: “At first my wife and I thought no network was going to call us again, it was a A disaster, it was a broken interview.

“But within a few hours it started going viral and we realized this was more than just a failed interview. But at first I thought no one would ever call me to go on TV again.”

As his two children, now 11 and 8, continued to make faces in front of the camera, Kelly joked that he would now put a padlock on the door to prevent it from happening again.

His daughter Marion added: “I don't remember much, but I think I just wanted to see my dad while he was being interviewed. I don't know why I did it. Maybe just for fun! I don't know.”

Following the seven-year anniversary of the incredible clip, Kelly re-shared a video and new photos of his kids to mark the occasion.

Kelly shared a clip of the famous interview on

He then posted four photos of his family celebrating Marion's birthday, including 11-year-old Marion cutting her birthday cake.

He also shared a clip of himself and James hiking in South Korea, writing: “These are from Marion's birthday party today and James and I hiking this morning.”

time flies.
