how unfair
Harry Kane scored another hat-trick for Bayern Munich at the weekend – or at least he thought he did.
Kane scored three goals in a row, and the Bundesliga team defeated lowly Mainz 8-1 to maintain their weak championship hopes.
The hat-trick means the England captain now has 30 goals in 25 league games and he even found time to provide the assist for Jamal Musiala's goal.
While we all say Kane has scored his fourth hat-trick of the season, a strange Bundesliga rule says otherwise.
according to Targeta hat trick only counts if all three goals are scored in the same half and no other player scores in between.
Bad luck, Harry.
Kane's goal
The striker opened the scoring in the 13th minute, before Leon Goretzka made it 2-0.
He then added his second goal just before half-time, with goals from Thomas MĂĽller, Musiala and Serge Gnabry adding to the scoreline.
The England captain then scored his third goal of the afternoon in the 70th minute to make it 7-1. Goretzka scored his second goal of the game in stoppage time.
Kane has been through similar stories in the past, scoring three goals against Bochum, Darmstadt and Borussia Dortmund, but while many other leagues consider it a hat-trick, the Bundesliga does not.
