The England captain's quest for trophies continues.

Harry Kane has broken his silence as Real Madrid knocked out Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-finals, dashing his hopes of lifting trophies this season.

The German giants were minutes away from their first Champions League final since 2020 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night, but two late goals from Real Madrid sealed their fate.

Alphonso Davies scored the first goal of the night to give Munich the lead, but former Stoke City striker Joselu came off the bench to score two late goals, That included the winning goal after a nerve-wracking VAR decision.

After initially being ruled out for offside in stoppage time, a goal eventually saw Ancelotti's side advance to the upcoming final against Borussia Dortmund.

Kane, who was substituted minutes before Real Madrid scored two goals, shared his disappointment at not reaching the final with The X.

“Being ripped out. It was hard to take last night,” the former Tottenham Hotspur striker said.

“We're proud of the two-leg battle and that says everything you need to know about the spirit of this team and how far we can go.”

Harry Kane breaks silence after Bayern Munich's shock defeat to Real Madrid

Kane almost cried after Bayern were knocked out last night.

The England captain made a dramatic switch to the German club last summer in search of trophies.

However, the Bavarians now face their first season in 12 years without winning a trophy.

The 30-year-old striker will now have to deal with the “curse” surrounding his name as he continues his trophyless years at Tottenham.

Of course, the story of this year's German season belongs to Xavi Alonso and his remarkable tenure at Bayer Leverkusen.

The Spanish side ended Bayern Munich's dominance as Bundesliga champions this season and are now just one game away from reaching a first European final in more than two decades.

Leverkusen also maintains an incredible 48-game unbeaten streak, a record among Europe's five major leagues (Bundesliga, Premier League, Ligue 1, La Liga and Serie A).
