“The smell never completely goes away.”
A plane was forced to divert after a dog pooped in the middle of the aisle.
The United Airlines flight from Houston to Seattle was forced to stop in Dallas due to the incident.
One passenger took to Reddit to recall the story of the day.
“Dog had chaotic incident in first class aisle. Plane diverted to DFW. Ground crew spent over two hours cleaning carpet with paper towels,” they wrote.
“The smell made me sick. The gate staff kept yelling at passengers and crew. The smell never completely went away.
“The first class toilet was declared unusable as the dog mess there had apparently not been resolved. The food had spoiled on the ground so there were very few snacks left,” they added.
One person who responded to the post claimed to be on the same flight and said they saw a woman and a service dog disembarking after the flight landed.
This isn't the first time a dog has given passengers a bad time on a flight.
Reddit users took the opportunity to share their own stories about dogs on planes.
“I was once on a flight where there was a service dog,” one person wrote. “The flight was bumpy.
“When the flight landed and got to the gate, the exit door opened and the dog kicked everyone off the plane and littered the gate. We were delayed 15 minutes getting off the plane because they needed to clean it up airplane.”
Another shared: “Just a few months ago I was flying from Washington to Tokyo and the guy diagonally behind me had a large German shepherd on a leash.”
They continued: “It was certainly not a pleasant experience. He was vomiting badly, the smell was terrible and while the man was asleep the dog started walking up and down the aisle in the dark until the FA brought it back .”
