He had a nightmare.

It was certainly not a day to remember for Tottenham Hotspur as they suffered a 4-0 defeat at St James' Park.

Despite a rather dull start to the game, Newcastle took control of the game by scoring two goals within two minutes of the first half.

Alexander Isaac scored in the 30th minute and Anthony Gordon followed in the 32nd, leading to Mickey van de Veen receiving widespread criticism online at halftime.

After Tottenham's sudden capitulation, fans were quick to point out that Isaac had dominated Van de Veen.

Entering the second half, Tottenham fans couldn't believe that Van de Ven made a similar mistake, which led to Newcastle leading 3-0.

Then in the final moments of the game, Fabian Schaal scored the fourth goal.

Naturally, X's criticism of Van de Veen has grown, with some labeling his performance the worst in Premier League history.

Oh dear.
