What a treat
PlayStation Plus users are in for a treat, as a classic PS1 game is likely to be coming to the service.
Recent leaks claim that MediEvil will be available to Plus Premium users.
The classic hack-and-slash video game was first released in 1998, but it looks like we'll be able to relive our childhood if Plus is released.
True Trophies is aware that the game's entire trophy list has been leaked online, and is the same list found in the 2019 PS4 remake of MediEvil.
MediEvil: Resurrection is already available for PlayStation Plus owners, but assuming the leaks are correct, it won't be long before we can play the original version again.
Previously, Sony announced two additional free games for Plus users this month.
The company has confirmed that Dave the Diver and Kenzella's Story: Zau will both be coming to PlayStation Plus for Extra and Premium tier users.
Although the full lineup for these April tiers won't be announced until April 10, a new post on the PlayStation Blog has confirmed both games will be available for purchase.
Diver Dave is a “unique hybrid ocean adventure game that combines ocean exploration with sushi restaurant management.”
It allows the player to take on the role of the titular character, who looks out to sea during the day and brings back goodies for the sushi restaurant, which keeps him busy at night.
It combines a core gameplay loop, narrative, characters and engaging mini-games, and is initially launching on PC, but will launch on PS4 and PS5 on Tuesday, April 16th.
Tales of Kenzera: Zau is another additional free game launching on Tuesday, April 23rd.
The game tells the story of a young shaman who attempts to resurrect his father by making sacrifices to the God of Death.
Kenzira Legend: Zau director Abubakar Salim, best known for Assassin's Creed Origins, explained that the game is based on his own experience losing his father.
“You take a character and throw them into a world they don't know… they have to understand it somehow,” he told GamesRadar.
