Although Cheng knew that the relevant content was strictly prohibited from being provided to the outside world, in order to seek personal gain, he still sent the rare earth collection and storage categories, quantities, prices, etc. that he knew about at work to Ye, and received a large amount of remuneration from the other party.
After identification by the national confidentiality department, the content provided by Cheng to overseas involved 7 confidential-level state secrets. The suspect confessed to the crime. In November 2023, the Intermediate People's Court of Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province made judgments against Ye and Cheng respectively.
In addition to trying to steal national secrets in key areas of our country, some overseas institutions are also trying to illegally obtain and transmit meteorological data.
Since 2023, national security agencies, together with meteorological and security departments, have carried out special crackdowns on foreign-related meteorological detection nationwide in accordance with the law, investigated more than 10 overseas meteorological equipment agents, inspected more than 3,000 foreign-related meteorological stations, and found hundreds of illegal foreign-related meteorological detection The site transmits meteorological data to overseas countries in real time and is widely distributed in more than 20 provinces, causing national security risks.
Some of these illegal foreign-related meteorological detection stations have detection plans directly funded by foreign governments. Some observation points are set up around sensitive places such as military units and military industrial enterprises for altitude approval and GPS positioning; some even conduct long-term, high-frequency, Multi-point real-time transmission to foreign official meteorological agencies serves foreign homeland security and meteorological monitoring. According to reports, relevant foreign-related meteorological detection activities have not applied for administrative licenses for foreign-related meteorological detection from the competent meteorological authorities, failed to submit meteorological data to the competent meteorological authorities, and transmitted meteorological data overseas without the approval of the competent meteorological authorities, violating the Data Security Law and the “Foreign-related Meteorological Observations”. In response to this prominent problem, the national security agencies took the initiative and cracked down a series of espionage theft cases from 2022 to 2023. They investigated and examined nearly a hundred people involved in the case in accordance with the law, investigated and dealt with 11 key companies involved, and investigated the criminal responsibility of the relevant personnel in accordance with the law.
The national security agency found out that Zhu Moumou, the former general manager of a domestic agricultural technology company, had established a “cooperative” relationship with a company established in China by overseas spy intelligence agencies. In order to further expand the “business scope”, Zhu Moumou founded another agricultural technology company to sell large quantities of my country's high-quality parent rice seeds overseas.
In January this year, the Intermediate People's Court of Hefei City, Anhui Province sentenced Zhu Moumou for the crime of illegally providing intelligence abroad. In addition, the national security organs also imposed administrative penalties on the remaining 17 persons involved in the case in accordance with the law, and conducted in-depth investigations on the companies involved, further identifying the situation in which some domestic seed industry companies illegally sold various high-quality seed sources in China to foreign countries in large quantities, effectively eliminating the Major security concerns in the food sector.
The national security agency reminds that protecting seed sources and ensuring food security are the due meaning and responsibility of implementing the overall national security concept and promoting the struggle in the non-traditional security field. Recently, the national security agency successfully detected a typical case in which an overseas anti-China political party solicited students from a certain university to participate in activities. It effectively cracked down on the infiltration and instigation activities of overseas anti-China forces and eliminated hidden risks in a timely manner.
Song is a student at a domestic university. Out of curiosity, he signed up online to become a volunteer for an overseas anti-China political party, and received the party's political platform and instructions for participating in anti-China activities and canvassing and fundraising sent to him by members of the organization.
