This is the cheapest air travel subscription model pricing in the world.
A US airline has launched a new 'unlimited flights' pass allowing customers to fly as many times as they want for an annual fee of less than £500.
Frontier AirlinesThe Denver, Colorado-based low-cost airline currently offers a variety of “unlimited fly” passes, but its latest pass offers the most impressive value for money.
The subscription-based model gives customers the opportunity to pay a one-off fee to fly more often and ultimately save hundreds of pounds.
It also encourages them to choose Frontier for all air travel, thereby spending more money on the company's luggage and in-flight items.
Annual passes start on 1 May 2024 and run until 30 April 2025, priced at £474.
Frontier's monthly pass, which allows customers to travel for 30 days at a time, is priced at £78 for the first month, rising to £149 per month thereafter.
The company also offers a summer pass (available for a limited time from early May to the end of September, priced at £316) and an autumn and winter pass (valid from early September to the end of February, priced at £790).
Passengers holding any of the above passes are required to book their flights one day in advance for any domestic flights and 10 days in advance for international flights.
Baggage and seat assignment fees are additional, increasing costs for those who don't travel light.
As long as you trust that you can cancel in time and not be charged for a month of unwanted flying, the company's offer sounds very attractive.
Passengers with any pass also have the opportunity to earn Border Miles, thereby avoiding increased baggage fees or being assigned seats in advance for free.
The company operates primarily in the United States, but also offers routes to Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America.
Five other airlines also offer “unlimited fly” style passes, but their prices aren't as affordable as what Frontier Airlines is offering.
These airlines include Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, Porter Airlines, Air Tahiti and Southwest Airlines.
