Our TV movie selection tonight is extreme prejudiceAn 80s action thriller with strong Western elements.

It centers on two childhood friends, one of whom grows up to be a Texas Ranger (Nick Nolte) and the other a major drug dealer (Powers Booth).

Over the course of the film, tensions between the two men continue to grow, while the ranger's territory is invaded by an unofficial and top-secret group of U.S. veterans whose presence in the Mexican border town may be related to the activities of drug traffickers, or Nothing to do.

The film is directed by the famous American film producer Walter Hill (“48 Hours”, “Driver”, “Warrior”). The title of the film is taken from an iconic line in JOE's recent TV series “Apocalypse Now” – this Both films share a screenplay by John Milius – Extreme Prejudice's visceral action, Western imagery and twisty story make it well worth seeking out.
