At about 15:00 on March 1, 2024, in the terminal of Beijing Capital International Airport, the defendant Pan Moumou was dissatisfied because he did not catch the flight and falsely claimed that there was a bomb on the plane. The public security, anti-terrorism and special police detachments, and security companies were on the scene to take emergency measures. All passengers and luggage of the flight underwent explosion-proof inspections and secondary safety inspections. After inspection, no abnormalities were found, causing the flight to be delayed for about 2 hours.

On the morning of April 15, the Chaoyang District People’s Court of Beijing held a public hearing on the case. The court held that the defendant Pan fabricated false bomb threat terrorist messages and seriously disrupted social order. His behavior constituted the crime of fabricating false terrorist information and should be punished in accordance with the law. After Pan Moumou arrived at the case, he truthfully confessed the crime, pleaded guilty and accepted punishment. The court gave him a lighter punishment and suspended his sentence.

Based on the facts of Pan's crime, the nature and circumstances of the crime, and the degree of harm to society, Pan was sentenced to 5 months' detention and 6 months' probation for the crime of fabricating false terrorist information.
