Many express sympathy for Starbucks employees

A Starbucks barista shared a video of herself crying over her work hours.

The video shows the employee sharing their thoughts about management and rude customers, but it was the person's remarks about their schedule that sparked the reaction online.

The barista, who is also a student, said working 25 hours a week and eight-hour weekend shifts was too much to cope with.

In video – shared by far-right Trump supporters on Twitter Sebastian Gorka – They said, “I was a full-time student and scheduled 25 hours of study time per week. Then on the weekends, they scheduled me for a full day, eight and a half hours from opening to closing, Saturday and Sunday All.

“I've been on a three-and-a-half-hour shift. There were so many customers, we had four people in the store all day. Only five people were scheduled for the scheduled time, so someone had to call the number.”

They went on to say that the managers “don't care about us” and “don't want to help us,” and claimed that their manager called in his own shift because he didn't want to come in.

The barista went on to say that customers were rude and misgendered them, concluding: “I'm not going to be taken care of for being schizophrenic and people are going to be mad at me for being sick for so long. I don't even Now that I know what to do, I’m at my wits end with this job.”

Earning a degree in the United States is very expensive, so many students are forced to work part-time during college to fund their studies.

Many expressed sympathy for the worker, with one pointing out that the student would end up working 70 hours a week in addition to her university job.

Another said: “He cried because he was understaffed and worked two weekends in a row and the manager took no responsibility for the understaffing and didn’t work with them. Common practice in coffee shops. One might think It's a level of exploitation.”

A third person tweeted: “People in the comments are defending a poor work environment and abusive behavior because they were abused too.”

Criticizing those attacking baristas, a fourth added: “This is why everyone hates the older generation because y'all say you want the best for our generation and then when we want things to be When it's better, you complain about how you're worse off, essentially saying we deserve the same treatment. I'll never understand why you don't want better.”

Others simply pointed out embarrassing typos made by Gorka, who has many ties to the alt-right.
