The starting eleven is missing some big names.

England fans are hopeful as Brazil take on Southgate's side in a friendly at Wembley tonight.

Dorival Junior's starting XI was revealed online this morning, with Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison, Al Hilal's Neymar and Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz's absence has caused concern among England fans on social media.

Many home fans highlighted Real Madrid striker Rodrygo as a potential weakness as the only forward and identified Brazil's backline as an area that could be exploited.

One Twitter user commented on the team news: “It's so embarrassing that Brazil are doing so poorly.”

Another wrote: “Joao Gomez over Douglas Luiz?! What a poor defense 4-1 England.”

Fans will be excited to see how Southgate's side fare in tonight's game.

It was revealed earlier this week that four England stars would miss tonight's friendly.

Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Jordan Henderson and Cole Palmer all missed Wednesday's training with the Three Lions, instead undertaking individual training.

Fans of Manchester United, Everton and Newcastle United are hoping the absences could provide opportunities for youngsters Kobe Mainu, Jarrad Branthwaite and Anthony Gordon to earn their first international call-ups this week. Paving the way for their first first-team start.

Stockport-born Mainu was initially named to the England Under-21 squad and was quickly thrust into the first-team squad just days after impressing in United's dramatic FA Cup win over Liverpool.

The 18-year-old is the youngest player in the first-team squad but is joined by the likes of Joe Gomez, who has been named in the squad for the first time in four years.

Midfielder Jarrod Bowen is also back in the squad after some impressive recent performances at West Ham United.

While some may be surprised by the new blood in Brazil's squad for tonight's game, England fans should still be wary of Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior and West Ham United's Lucas Paqueta (Lucas Paqueta) and others, they will start on the left wing. This season he scored 3 goals and provided 5 assists for the London team.

Tonight, England stars will wear the controversial new jersey for the first time.

The new shirt was released earlier this week but faced backlash due to its £125 price tag and the choice of a colored cross on the collar (rather than the traditional red and white cross).

Many fans have labeled the kit “woke”, with even Labor leader Keir Starmer chiming in: “This flag is what everyone uses, it's a unifier and it doesn't need to change.”

Tonight's match kicks off at 7pm tonight and can be watched live on Channel 4.
