It could not be more shocking than this. A 14 year girl Arushi was brutally murdered in her Noida house on 15th May. The domestic servant who was missing since the incident was discovered dead on the roof of the house. Arushi was the daughter of a very successful doctor couple.
Today, the Police revealed that the girl was murdered by her father. It has been brought out that the father had an illicit relationship with a woman. Her daughter was aware of this relationship and she allegedly developed some kind of intimacy with the domestic servant at home. On the day of murder, when father came to home at night she found her daughter in some objectionable position with the servant. This made him furious and he killed both of them.
Well this incident has shocked the India. People are having a feeling of disbelief and disgust. How can a father killed his lovely daughter so brutally? He could have done something else to reform her. He could have expelled the servant from his job or he could send the daughter to a hostel. How did he arrive at this brutal decision of killing his daughter.
As of now, nothing has been established and what we have seen is a version of the Police. Media have already started questioning this theory. Only time will tell what is the truth. However, I think that if the father is the killer then he must have done it in a state of guilt and anger. Since he himself was in an illicit relationship, he did not have the moral courage to prevent his daughter from developing a similar relationship with the servant. This feeling of anger and guilt drove him to murder his own daughter.
As of now, this murder is the talk of the town. Every news channel has given prime coverage to this incident. Discussions are going on. Many sociologists, psychiatrist and criminal experts are discussing this incident and its implication on the society.
May God grant peace to the soul of Arushi.
