Well it seems Darren is enjoying the weekend. That’s why he has not posted any task for today. Shall I enjoy this break? Why not !
No new task for toda. However, I did an old task today. I posted on two blogs where I had never posted till now.
Further, I was quite busy in tweaking my other website as I have noticed a gradual decline in it’s visitor this month. I don’t know what is the reason for it. I added a new subsite on this site so as to encourage comments. This took many precious hours and I could not write any new article. Tomorrow is also going to be the same busy day.

Today is the 10th day of problogger’s blogging challenge and the task for today is :
Declutter your Sidebar
Darren has given following advise in his blog :
Blog clutter has a way of creeping up on almost all bloggers. I’ve let it creep up as much as the next blogger and a big task in getting a new design together has been working out what to remove, what to move and what to keep in my sidebar.
Take a critical look at your blog’s design today and work out what you can live without.
As far this blog of mine is concerned, I don’t think there is any urgent need of changing the sidebar. The blog is quite new and there is nothing except the original sidebar of this beautiful theme. Probably I need to change the siadbar in future.
However, this is a very important blogging tip as a cluttered sidebar can affect the visual appeal of your blog for readers.
Finally I want to add that as I promised in this post (related to task for day 9), I have introduced Google Adsense ads in my blog. They look nice. However, I would appreciate if you can comment on it.
That’s all for today. I was quite busy during the whole day. So no blogging tip today. Bye

If you run your blog on Wordpress, you must be aware of the plugins and their utility in Wordpress. In fact it’s because of these Plugins that Wordpress has become a darling of Bloggers the world over.
Here is my compilation of most useful and must-haves plugins for Word-press which should be in the arsenal of any serious blogger. I have described these plugins category-wise based on their utility.
Plugins to save your Data (your valuable posts )
WordPress DatabaseBackup : Backing up your Wordpress database should be done frequently especially when you are adding content actively. WordPress DatabaseBackup offers a one click database backup to help you backup your data easily. You may download the backup file, or have it emailed to the address of your choice. It’s included in Wordpress 2.0. by default but you’ll have to enable it. It’s a must have plugin. Read the rest of this entry »

Day 9 : Run an Advertising Audit on Your Blog
Here is the task in detail :
It’s easy to set up advertising on your blog and to spend time optimizing it but then let it run the same way without ever giving it much more thought.
Take some time out to think strategically about the design and placement of your ads.
* What could you do differently?
* Would using a different size ad make them perform better?
* Would changing the colors have an impact?
* Could a different position increase CTR?

Don’t be too personal in your blog.
Yes it’s one of the most important tips if you really want to make your blog a success.
Though the blogging phenomenon was started as personal musings of online citizens, it has now evolved into something very very big. If you write a blog focused around your personal life where you only write about your families, friends, hobbies and other daily activities, you should not accept a huge traffic to your blog.
There are two reasons for this. Read the rest of this entry »

Yesterday on this post I discuss all the seven task for the blogging competition on one single posts. Today is the day number eight and here is the task :
8. Comment on a blog that you’ve never commented on before.
Ok. It’s one of the most quoted blogging tips for all bloggers.
To be frank, I have made just 3-4 comments in total in other blogs since I started my online journey (in 2001). Well Blogging is a quite recent phenomenon and even then I have commented only on very few blogs as I was quite busy developing my two other websites (Meditation is Easy) and (Free-Numerology) . Further, I read very few blogs owing to time constraints.
Let us try this method as advised by Darren
Ok I have posted a comment on one of my favorite Blog Clicknewz. It’s about Lynn’s new product and I am a bit skeptical about this product. So I have commented my feelings here
